March 2019 was the first time I used TC lighting and met the owner Todd Cormier. I interviewed a number of lighting companies over a two week period and decided to use TC Lighting as I felt Todd was truly a lighting architect and really understood what we were looking for. Todd explained how he would use the shadows from the trees to create a moonlight atmosphere through the entire yard. He also took the time to explain where he would place the lighting and why. Todd gave us a start and completion date with the bid. TC lighting started on time and finished early and the results and quality of work far exceeded our expectations. TC Lighting was highly recommended to us for a new home we recently built, and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Over the course of a just few weeks, Todd both developed and executed his vision of a unique landscape lighting design for our property, given the existing trees, landscaping and topography. His team was highly efficient in installing the fixtures, conduit and wiring that our project required. When we had the initial meeting with Todd, he showed up with plans of how all the lighting was laid out and an estimate. He addressed all our concerns and had no problem adding extra items per our request. Todd and his crew were great! Our lake house property needed significant exterior lighting enhancement. The original lighting had long ago ceased to function reliably. Low-voltage and low-tech from the outset, the system was twenty years old and underwhelming from the start. TC Lighting was completing a project at a neighboring property and was highly recommended. Our neighbors invited us over for a late evening onsite experience. We could immediately see the impact of TC Lighting’s project on their property.
We did our due diligence, visiting other landscape lighting projects around Lake Richland Chambers and pricing alternate vendors. TC Lighting was clearly our best alternative from design, lighting effects and price.
Our installation went smoothly and finished on time. Todd adapted the original plan to our circumstances, sprinkler system, and electrical configuration with no significant delays or interruptions. Todd and his onsite foreman, Augustine, bring a depth of experience that is invaluable. The post-installation adjustment process involved in any large-scale lighting project is the proof. With 20 mature oak and elm trees and 20 large specimen plantings utilizing 100+ fixtures, our adjustment (called a night set) was completed in less than 3 hours.
